My name is Michelle Peters. My experience is quite varied as I have worked for over 20 years with all ages including pre-school to adults and in various types of settings including public school teacher, homeschool mom, private school teacher, one on one tutoring, learning centers, and online tutoring and teaching.
I entered the world of home schooling when I began to homeschool my only child in fourth grade. From there, I started working with a homeschool co-op. I realized that I loved working with this group of kids. I enjoyed my time as a public educator but homeschooling provided a wealth of flexibility that public school did not offer.
My belief is that the right education is different for everyone. My many years of experience have led me to bringing you the best of these experiences.
I believe that students need an in person teacher to guide them, but I also see the need for online learning as homeschooled students are spread out geographically and cannot always find classes easily. I also see the need for instruction in multiple parts as opposed to once a week. Students need some flexiblity for all of the other things they have in their life.
I understand both the need for structure and the need for flexibility. I am bringing you my version of the best of all of these.
I have a teaching license for mathematics in the state of Indiana and have homeschooled for eight years.
